What is that box?
It’s a nicely sealed wooden box containing 3 bottles to be consumed preferably after 2027.
It contains lambics selected from the Moeder Lambic storing and aging cellars.
The lambics come from Cantillon, 3 Fonteinen, Tilquin, Boerenerf, and Bofkont.
The beers in the pack have all been chosen for their exceptional quality.
Contains 100% pleasure beers.
25% of the packs contain a Cantillon Raisin among the different bottlings (Racine, Piacere, Signorina, Pineau Menu, Drogone, Plaisir, Vinsanto, Barbera, Aunis, Corvée...).
25% of the packs contain a Bofkont beer.
25% of the packs contain a Cuvée Moeder or a BXL Beerfest Cuvée (the 2015 Cabernet Franc was excluded from the pack, as it did not meet our minimum quality criteria).
25% of the packs contain a beer that will be over 10 years old by 2027, perfect for unboxing!
5% of the packs contain a beer we consider legendary: Vie est Belges, LH12, Iris Grand Cru, Lanvinus Grand Cru, Asperule, Zenne #1, 3F Seasons, Kri Vino #1...
Schrödinger’s Cat is a famous experiment that demonstrates the idea that particles can be in two states at once — until they are observed. There’s a 5% chance of getting a legendary bottle, but also a hidden box with 3 of my favorite lambics (Vie Solidaire, 50N 2012, Zenne #2). Until you open the box, you are both the owner of that treasure — and not.
Who can buy it and how can you get your box?
This box is for our tasting participants only. Giving access to our cellar beers and some of our precious reserves is our gift to enthusiasts. We insist that the link and code not be shared with third parties.
We haven’t set a purchase limit, but the number of packs available is limited, so we hope as many people as possible will be able to take advantage of them.
You can get the box directly after the tasting, but we can also deliver it to "Être Gourmet" (additional shipping fees from "Être" are not included in our price).
If you would like more information about the shipping process or prices, you can contact them directly via their website: https://www.bieresgourmet.be/en/
Best after 2027 — and unboxing!
Many beers today are drunk far too young or far too old. We estimate that by 2027, the majority of these beers will be at their ideal tasting point, which is why we recommend enjoying them after that year.
Patience is a virtue, and we sincerely hope that many of you will resist the temptation to open this box ahead of schedule. Indeed, on the Saturday of the week preceding the next Quintessence, we'll be holding an unboxing and breaking the seals together! We hope your patience will be rewarded.
